I have a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Washington University in Saint Louis. I also have a CF-L1.
I’ve always wanted to work in the medical field and after injuring myself in school and having to go through physical therapy, I decided that was the best profession for me. It seemed like the best way for me to understand the human body, how to fix it, how to improve it, and how to extend my own physical capabilities throughout my life.
I was first introduced to CrossFit by classmates of mine in physical therapy school. They were both CF-L1. They kept asking me to go to a class because they thought I would do well at it. I eventually caved and went to a class; which kicked my butt, but I loved it. I was offered a job that allowed me to move to Jasper and then introduced me to Adamas CrossFit.
I was later recruited by Justin to start coaching and I’ve enjoyed it ever since. It allows me to combine my knowledge in physical therapy and movement systems with the CrossFit philosophy of improving varied and high-intensity functional movements, while also keeping me accountable for my own health.
I’m currently living here in Jasper, where I work at TheraSpecialists. My Jerrica and I are currently expecting a daughter to be born in May.
